Le Relais de la Reine is located in the South Western of Madagascar, in limit of the Isalo massif. It is the country of Bara, tributes seminomad which accross with its herds of Zebus gives a fabulous decoration of Western.

In spite of its geographical insulation, the access to Le Relais de la Reine is easy, by borrowing the Main road 7, which connects Antananarivo to Toliary, while passing by Antsirabe and Fianarantsoa. This road, the most touristic of Madagascar offers a permanent expatriation.

The hotel is located close to the village of Ranohira, with 700 kilometers of Antananarivo by road. It is also accessible by private aircraft, thanks to its private landing strip (entitled until TwinOtter). Le Relais de la Reine also ensures the road transfers, return ticket, between the hotel and Toliary, city served nearest by Air Madagascar (230 km).

Le Relais de la Reine opened its doors in 1993. Since it is managed "in family" by the creator and his children. It is a hotel of nature, perfectly integrated into the ruiniform Isalo massif, built in a park raised of more than 40 hectares, at the edge of a small river. Its insulation in an imposing site creates an atmosphere of serenity favourable for the relaxation, rest and gives all its value to the comfort and a restoration of international class.
Starting point of the excursions in Isalo (visit of the natural swimming pool, the canyons, the window, etc), it also offers its own activities, horse riding, tennis, swimming pool, walk in the raised gallery.

Built out of granite on a rock headland, the principal part of the hotel (reception, bar and restaurant) dominates the swimming pool digged in the likings.

Around, in the vegetation of the park five houses of six rooms nest, to which the seven individual houses of the Riding school are added.

The Riding school of Le Relais de la Reine offers to the amateurs horseriding services adapted to the level of the riders, energy of the simple initiation to the excursions of several days.
Also, at the disposal of the customers a course of tennis out of beaten ground and a swimming pool with two basins for children and adults.
