The approach plan to the guesthouse "Schernthaner Dorfgastein"

The holiday house Schernthaner is located in central yet quiet site of Dorfgastein.
You can reach everything immediately (mountain railway, bus station, solarium, village centre, and supermarket, ski slopes, restaurants etc.).

In winter, you can almost reach our house by skis depending on the thickness of the snow bank.

In our to-the-region-adapted house, there are 6 nice, very harmonic, good and completely equipped suites of 40m² size – everything for the sole purpose of your feeling comfortable.
Suite Type 1

Two suites in ground floor for maximum of 4 persons.
Plan of the suite: a comfortable living room-cum-kitchen with eat corner, sofa bed for 2 persons, cable-TV and radio, one bedroom with one double bed, shower and toilet, anteroom and terrace.

These suites are also adapted to the people in wheelchairs.

For your children we offer you childbed, highchair and shared usage of washing machine and dryer.

The winter in Dorfgastein

As a member of the ski association “Amade”, Dorfgestein guaranties you immeasurable ski fun in over 25 ski areas with 276 ski lifts and 865 km prepared ski slopes.
Our beautiful, small place offers you much more:
- Cross-country skiing in our outside of Dorfgestein, and also on many other ski slopes
- Organized sledging with comfortable cottage is offered once or twice per week
- Horse-drawn sledge driving (sledge renting in the place)
- Paragliding in tandem

The summer in Dorfgastein

The holiday house Schernthaner offers you a pretty, little garden, where you can have sunbathing (deckchairs are available). You can also arrange a Grill party where you can have great fun and the children can in the mean time play on our small playground
Dorfgastein, a peaceful place in the region Salzburg, offers you a possibility to relax, but it also offers numerous possibilities for active relaxation.
With the freerental of bicycles, you can find out the beautiful bikepaths of Dorfgastein

Our new funicular railway can take you up to 2020 meters height, where you can experience an unforgettable panoramic view.

There are also endless walking paths for children and adults, and tracks for mountain biking (bicycle renting in the place). Would you like to see our beautiful Gasteinertal from another perspective? A tandem flight offers you this possibility. You can also learn para gliding in our flying school. Would you like to take a rest? Then go to our beautiful open-air swimming pool. Jet skiing, numerous lakes and golf venues in the immediate surroundings are worth visiting.
