  HOTEL INFORMATION

What should I write as an introduction. Perhaps that I am glad that you have found your way onto this page, and that here I welcome you as heartily as I will welcome you at any time to camp Drusus.
Our family business started in 1992 on a restitued homestead in the village of Trebonice, around 10 km from the centre of Prague. From that time, the initially small camp, has grown a little, to include restaurant and a hostel. There is now also a riding hall and a stable for horses.
So why choose our camp? I could convince you that here you'll find the calm and comfort of the countryside, that there are a lot of tourist attractions nearby, that the prices are reasonable and that thanks to public transport, its a stone's throw from Prague. It's all true, but you might consider it to be and advertising trick. That's why to everyone who is in doubt, I recommend the guestbook, where you will find feedback from satisfied guests from around the world, and if that's not enough, don't hesitate and come to see it with your own eyes.

  CAMP

Are you looking for reasonably priced accommodation in a peaceful, rural environment, but also only 30 minutes by public transport from the centre of Prague? We have the answer for you. Don't hesitate come to Camp Drusus."

It would be possible to express the main advantages of our camp through this tasteless advertising slogan. Apart from the fact, that there are 65 spaces for caravans or tents, sockets (220W, 10A) and showers with hot water 24 hrs a day, every visitor has access to the common room, where there is a pool table, gym, piano, children's' playground, a volleyball court, a small kitchen with a stove and a fridge, automatic washing machine and tumble dryer.

At reception, which is open more than 15 hours every day where it is possible to get, among other things, fresh bread, a basic selection of drinks and food and tickets for public transport. The willing receptionist will tell you where to find entertainment and about interesting places in Prague and the whole of the Czech Republic. He is always ready to help you with any problem.

  DINNING

In the area of the camp, you will find, among other things, the restaurant GUSTA. Here you can have hearty breakfast, and of course, a hearty dinner. The menu offers Czech and international cuisine and a wide selection of drinks, including well-brewed Ceskobudejovicky Budvar.

  ACCOMMODATION

The hostel offers three fully equiped double rooms (one extra bed possible). Each room has its own shower and toilet.

We sell also dormitory with common shower, WC 4 x 2 beds rooms.

  BANGALOW

The Bungalow (the cabin) consists of one room 17 mē big, equipped with two beds and one double plank-bed, beddings, table, chairs, wardrobe and electric heating. There is no kitchen or washroom in the bungalow. You can use common bath and WC as well as the kitchen on the camping. All the facilities are about 30 meters far from the bungalows. The price as it is shown in the pricelist is meant as a price for renting a whole bungalow for one night, there is NO additional fee for parking your car or anything else.

  LOCATION

You will find camp Drusus between motorway D5 (towards Pilsen) and E50 (towards Brno). If you are coming from Pilzen, after Rudna, turn off for Brno. Along the turning for Reporyje and Orech /EXIT 19/, follow the sings for 3 km. If you are coming from Brno turn for Pilzen and take the turning for Trebonice /EXIT 23A/. Follow the signs for 1 km.

As the crow flies it is about ten kilometres to the centre of Prague. Altogether, there are four quick, cheap and comfortable means of transport.

Bus-Metro:
this is the most favoured alternative among guests. Take the number 249 bus
to metro station LUKA. Depending on the time of day, the bus comes at
intervals of between 20 min. and 1 hour, journey lasts 15 min., the last bus
back from Prague leaves LUKA at 23.36 (You can get the timetable here
(bus249.xls 30 Kb, click right mouse button and choose save link as)). At
LUKA you can get the metro (line B, yellow colour), which will get you
comfortably in to the centre of Prague within 15 minutes. To return, make
the same journey in the opposite order. The journey to the centre and back
will cost you two MHD tickets, it represents 40 CZK for adults or 20 CZK for
children.

Car-Metro: This is the fastest method of transport, and it makes you
independent of the bus timetable. Of course, you must be careful when
parking. Theft occurs relatively frequently, and therefore I recommend
protected car parks. You can drive to Zlicin or Stodulky (around 5 min.) and
then as with option one, you get line B to the centre.

On foot-Metro: This options suitable for everyone, and is not in any
way physically demanding or time consuming. I particularly recommend it for
nature lovers, romantics, and those that missed the bus. You can walk to
Stodulky in about 25 minutes and then continue on Metro B, as in options 1
and 2.

Car-Taxi: Travelling time, depending on the level of traffic, is
between 20 and 45 minutes. A taxi from the camp to the centre costs about
350 CZK. If you take your own car you may well have problems finding a place
to park. I recommend protected car parks.
