
Hotel Rába is situated in the middle of the baroque centre of Gyor, within easy reach from the M1-E60 motorway - half way between Budapest and Vienna.
It was exactly 100 years ago that the Hotel Rába opened under the name of its founder the Meixner-Royal Hotel.
The hotel has been the centre of social life in Gyor for a hundred years, and many celebrities have stayed here during their visits.

Where the four rivers meet at the foot of the medieval town walls, the water sports enthusiasts can enjoy a number of natural beaches, artificial pools and the Thermal & Adventure Bath. The Thermal & Adventure Bath is located at the junction of the Mosoni-Danube and the Rába rivers, from where you can enjoy a marvellous view of the historic town centre.

Several national cultures meet here during several renowned festivals, e.g. the Gyor Spring and Summer Festival and the Mediawave Festival.
Ballet
The Ballet Company of Gyor soon became popular both in town and the region. After winning the heart of the Hungarian audience, the Company won international success within a short period of time.
Pannonhalma Abbey
The Benedictine Abbey of Pannonhalma has been a sacred place for the Hungarians for more than a thousand years. The foundation of the monastery was instrumental in the development of the Christian culture in medieval Hungary. It is a "world heritage" opening a window onto the values of universal human culture.
