We are delighted to inform you that renovations at the Hotel are now virtually complete - with one exception! The Courtyard Restaurant has a glass roof, which has to be upgraded. This means closing the restaurant over the Winter months. The good news is that our recently remodelled Au Jardin Restaurant will be used instead to ensure a minimum disruption to our guests.

COURTYARD STANDARD
This room type overlooks a shady Japanese style Courtyard with water features and attractive tree ferns.

Comprising a double bedroom of approximately 22sqm and a bathroom (with bath and separate shower) of approximately 5.5sqm.

COURTYARD DELUXE
Similar to the above but the bedrooms are larger.(approximately 26sqm). The ground floor rooms have sliding doors opening on to a garden / patio and the upstairs rooms overlook a delightful private garden with beautiful trees, plants and lots of birds.

MOUNTAIN STANDARD
Overlooking 6 acres of beautifully manicured gardens with majestical views of the forested slopes of Table Mountain.

Comprising a double bedroom of approximately 22 sqm and a bathroom (with separate shower) of approximately 8sqm.

MOUNTAIN DELUXE
Similar to above but with a larger bedroom (approximately 24 sqm) and sliding doors opening on to its own balcony /patio.

RIVER DELUXE
Overlooking the Liesbeeck River with superb views of the forested slopes of Table Mountain. Comprising a double bedroom/ lounge of approximately 33sqm. The Lounge area which can be closed off with folding doors is approximately 24sqm. The superb bathroom is approximately 9.5 sqm and each room has its own balcony of approximately 17sqm.

SUITES
All suites comprise a beautifully appointed lounge, with a separate bedroom en-suite. Ground floor suites have sliding doors on to either gardens or terraces.

The Vineyard Hotel & Spa's signature restaurant, Au Jardin Restaurant serves superb French cuisine in an unsurpassed setting overlooking the Vineyard Hotel & Spa gardens and Table Mountain. Distinguished by its imaginative menu, Au Jardin's reputation for service, comfort and the finest wine cellar in the Cape make dining here a memorable experience.

Executive chef, French-born ALEXANDRE COUPY, at the tender age of 15 began his formal chef's training in France. After gaining experience in two 3 Michelin Star restaurants in both London and Monaco, Coupy headed for African shores where he was employed at The Cellars- Hohenhort Hotel as Chef de Partie. More recently he worked as Chef de Cuisine at The Lord Charles Hotel's up-market "La Vigna" restaurant and at the Western Cape Hotel & Spa's Premier Restaurant as ' Sous Chef'.

Au Jardin has undergone an exciting and extensive refurbishment and re-opened in October 2005. In a design that honours the old in a contemporary setting finished in fresh natural colours and modern materials like glass and stainless steel, Au Jardin’s new ‘areas of interest’ are set to see guests returning to celebrate every occasion. The café area – a street scene complete with pavement lamps – invites laid-back luncheons. The new bar, straddled by an impressive wine display and plush couches, offers the perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks. And removable glass doors allowing tables to spill outside onto the terrace, demand elegant evenings of al fresco dining during Summer; whilst on chillier evenings, a modern free-standing fireplace is well positioned to add heat to the restaurant’s main body. Chef Alex Coupy looks forward to welcoming all to the new-look Au Jardin and to trying out his new menu.

The Au Jardin Restaurant seats 70 people and is open for dinner Monday to Saturday. Dinner reservations are essential.

The hotel offers 2 magnificent pools. The heated indoor swimming pool complements the beautiful heated outdoor pool, surrounded by umbrellas and loungers.

The Splash café specializes in health food and drinks and is situated alongside the heated indoor pool, and has outstanding views.
