The Estate is a Mediterranean-style complex, ideally situated 20 minutes from Johannesburg International Airport and close to the historic city of Pretoria.

Mr. Theo Neocleous had a dream to build an exotic hotel that would encompass conference centres to cater for all of Africa. Today, that dream has become a reality, and the complex has hosted guests not only from Africa, but from around the globe!


He began fulfilling his dream when he personally planted 4 000 trees on the estate. He then designed and planned the original building that was his home for several years. Passers-by would drive up the steep driveway and enquire whether or not Mr. Theo could offer accommodation. This talented entrepeneur realised that there was indeed a need for a hotel in this area and thus he strove towards his goal.His beloved wife, Aliki, is a gifted cook and together they started the legendary hotel. The dream was not completed until Mr. and Mrs. Neocleous' daughters, together with their families, also moved onto the estate and became an integral part of the business.

The market further demanded conferencing facilities and thus that entity also grew. Today, the complex has every necessary amenity to provide a professional service to both local and international clients. Mr. Theo has catered for his client's every need - the complex boasts sporting facilities that include volleyball, basketball, tennis, miniature golf and a spectacular swimming pool.

125 tastefully decorated bedrooms are available and can be either single or sharing rooms. Each room has air conditioning, TV, telephones, hairdryers and tea/coffee machines. All the rooms have private bathrooms. Many of the rooms have private balconies overlooking the exquisite gardens.

The hotel has several satellite restaurants that offer the highest standards in both service and hospitality. The cuisine is phenomenal! A meal at the Saint George is always memorable.

A full a la carte menu is available for the discerning diner. A time-saving but tasty alternative is the extensive buffet and of course the pub-lunches/dinners are also an option.

The menu price includes the cost of the food and basic set up of the hall which includes tablecloths, cutlery, podium, paper serviettes, tables for cake and gifts etc.

The complex has 32 conference venues. The venues range from intimate rooms that accommodate 10 persons, through to venues that comfortably seat 200 persons with 5 breakaway rooms and then, the newly built Parthenon that can accommodate 800 delegates. The complex also provides secure parking for 2 000 vehicles.

The conference facilities offer all the basic equipment and arrangements can be made to hire-in any sophisticated equipment requested by the client.

The complex has 12 function venues and 2 chapels. Therefore, any size or type of function can be co-ordinated and customised for the client. The complex has hosted functions as diverse as gala evenings for State Presidents, to product launches, cocktail parties, awards evenings, dance championships and wedding receptions. Therefore, the cumulative experience of the dedicated staff can ensure the client trouble-free planning and executing of any event or function.

The hotel hires out décor ranging from chair covers to candelabra. Furthermore, there are many florists, photographers and entertainers that can be highly recommended. The competent co-ordinators will arrange the clients function from start to finish.
